We built TEFL Pro for one reason: too many career changers were being let down by generic, unsupported online courses. We believed there was a better way.
Why We Exist
TEFL Pro was founded in 2017 by educators who'd seen the best and worst of the TEFL industry. We'd taught in classrooms from Tokyo to Quito. We'd trained teachers who went on to brilliant careers. And we'd met too many people who'd paid for a cheap online course, received a useless PDF, and given up on teaching before they'd even started.
Our approach is different. Every student gets real tutor support. Every assignment gets real feedback. Every graduate gets real career guidance. No automated certificates. No two-day completion claims. Just solid, practical teacher training that actually prepares you for a classroom.

Dr. Ward spent 14 years teaching English in Tokyo, Istanbul, and Madrid before returning to the UK to lead course design. She holds a doctorate in Applied Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh and has trained over 2,000 TEFL graduates.

Career Transition Coach & Course Director
Mark switched from a 10-year finance career to TEFL at 35 and never looked back. Now he runs TEFL Pro's course programme and mentors career changers navigating the same path he took — from corporate burnout to classroom fulfilment.
